Do you have to pay pennsylvania state income tax if you are on Medicaid ? - pennsylvania wills
My mother is in a nursing home and was approved for Medicaid in November 2007.
In November, she sold all of their investment funds for your long-term care paid for.
Now it seems that she needs to pay taxes to the state of Pennsylvania from the sale of mutual funds. It has virtually no assets, if they are on Medicaid. No sense to pay for the PA will be approved for Medicaid, but now expect, income tax.
